GETA
Lighten Your Steps, Lighten Your Feet for Your Journey
Lightweight GETA with the comforting warmth of wood might just lead you to an unexpected world.
The Warmth and Power of Wood from Your Soles
Our GETA are made from cedar. By keeping the natural warmth of the wood material, you can feel the gentle power of the wood from the soles of your bare feet, and your steps will naturally feel lighter. You can wear them comfortably for long periods.
Kurume Kasuri Scraps Transform into Hanao (Thongs)
Scraps from tailoring our garments are reborn as thongs that adorn your feet. Made from incredibly comfortable Kurume Kasuri, the texture of the thongs feels pleasant against your skin.
A delightful collaboration of river basins has been realized with our GETA, lightening your steps. Hita in Oita Prefecture is one of Japan's three major geta production areas, where Hita Geta has been crafted for approximately 200 years. Kurume in Fukuoka Prefecture is a production area for Kurume Kasuri, one of Japan's three major kasuri fabrics, woven for about 220 years. Hita is located in the upstream region of the Chikugo River, one of Japan's three most turbulent rivers, while Kurume is in its midstream region.
MARU
The thongs are designed to gently embrace your feet, preventing your toes from slipping out easily. The thick thongs also provide an excellent fit when you put your foot in. The design is easy to match with both Western and Japanese attire.

Regular wiping helps prevent footmarks from appearing.
If the hanao (thongs) or maetsubo (toe post) get wet, remove excess water with a cloth and then place them in a well-ventilated area, such as an entryway, to air dry in the shade.
