About Care
Q. Does it get wrinkled? (About washing wrinkles)
Current items are made of 100% Kurume Kasuri cotton. While Kurume Kasuri is resistant to folding wrinkles, newly purchased items are prone to washing wrinkles.
For the first few washes, we recommend folding the item, putting it in a laundry net, and setting the spin cycle to a short time (about 1 minute) before hanging it to dry to minimize wrinkles. During the process of weaving Kurume Kasuri, the yarn is starched twice, so new fabrics still have starch remaining in the threads. As you wear and wash the item repeatedly, the starch will completely wash out, and the threads themselves will become fluffy and soft. Once it reaches this state, you can simply shape it and hang it to dry after washing, and it will be ready to wear without ironing.
Recommended timing for ironing:
Kurume Kasuri dries relatively quickly after washing. If you are concerned about washing wrinkles, we recommend ironing it in a half-dry state, about an hour after washing. This makes it easier to remove wrinkles and speeds up the remaining drying time. When ironing, we highly recommend using a pressing cloth.
Q. How should I care for indigo-dyed products?

Since it is dyed with 100% natural indigo, there is a possibility of color transfer or fading during the first few washes. Please place it in a laundry net and wash it separately from white items.

If the item is not heavily soiled, a gentle hand wash with just water is sufficient.
- About drying -

Please hang it to dry immediately after washing.

To enjoy the beautiful indigo color for as long as possible, we recommend drying it in the shade.
